Biography:
Mark Borkowski
Mark Borkowski is the founder and President of Mercantile Mergers & Acquisitions Corporation, located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Mercantile is a mid-market mergers & acquisitions brokerage with an exclusive focus on company divestitures and acquisitions and has so far consummated 136 domestic and international transactions.
Prior to founding Mercantile, Mark was the co-founder and President of Cimtek Automation Systems Inc., an electronics systems builder based in Oakville, Ontario. The company went public through a reverse takeover in 1986 after raising a private placement of $3,000,000. Mark's three partners in Cimtek acquired his entire interest at the time of going public.
Mark is a graduate of the University of Toronto with an MBA degree in Finance. He is an accomplished public speaker and has spoken at 41 national conferences on Mergers & Acquisitions and Private Equity in Canada and the United States. He is also a prolific author and has published over 750 articles for various industrial trade publications, newspapers and blogs in respect to mergers & acquisitions, private equity, and many other management topics.
